At Three Dog Bakery, we're passionate about happy, healthy pups. It's precisely that unconditional love for our furry four-legged friends that inspired us to create the world's first bakery for dogs back in 1989 – stocked with healthy, drool-worthy treats. Our artisan treats are handmade from natural, real food ingredients that customers know and understand, right here in our Rice Village bakery.

 

We are not just another pet supply store, we are the world’s original bakery for dogs. We work hard every day to bring joy to dogs and dog parents!

The Position:

We’re looking for creative and talented individuals with demonstrated baking and decorating experience, a commitment to quality, and a love for both dogs and the people who love them. Our bakers and the treats they prepare are what make Three Dog Bakery a truly special place.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Baking and decorating treats, including cookies, cupcakes, cakes, and pastries for dogs according to Three Dog Bakery recipes.

  • Baking and decorating custom celebration cake orders.

  • Operating commercial mixers and a commercial oven.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and chef’s prep area.

  • Managing inventory of raw ingredients and baked treats.

  • Greeting customers, responding to questions, and providing outstanding customer service.

  • Occasional operation of bakery registers and financial transactions.

  • Directing customers to and assisting with products in the bakery.

  • Increasing bakery sales.

  • Superior product knowledge.

  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor.

  • Bakery open and close activities.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Demonstrated experience baking and decorating with frosting.

  • A professional appearance.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

  • The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Retail sales experience a plus.

 

The Location:

Our bakery will be located at 2402A Rice Boulevard, Houston, TX 77005. We’re in the heart of Rice Village at the corner of Rice Boulevard and Morningside Drive.
