Dear Sneezing: I’m so excited to hear that you want to adopt a dog! I understand about your daughter’s allergies, I had a human brother who was allergic to me and it was not easy on anyone. The good news is that there are plenty of breed-specific rescues in the Houston Area that you can contact to get the friend that will be the "paw-fect" fit for your family. Some of my best friends (not to mention yours truly) have found their "fur-ever" homes through Houston breed-specific rescue organizations.
